I began this blog to chronicle my thoughts along what ended up being a 10,000 mile road trip across the US.
The journey was undertaken with my wife and copilot, Wren – along with my faithful steed…err mutt, Odin. The miles were logged in a BMW X1, which aside from a flat tire was faithfully reliable, even while pulling a Little Guy T@B Outback up and down mountains and along dirt roads.
The goal of this journey was nebulous – but basically in its simplest form it was to see the parts of the United States that we have not seen. Which is to say: most of it.
The trip is over now, and although it succeeded in the goal of letting us see more – we aren’t done exploring.
Update as of November 17th, 2017:
Over the past couple of years I’ve done less hiking and spent more time doing ‘other stuff.’
This other stuff was briefly LARP’ing (foam weapon combat simulation) and most recently has been Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. If you are interested in reading my thoughts (as well as those of my wife) I am now blogging at www.namastebjj.com
